Okay so don’t tell anyone, but I think I’m a lot like Cassel Sharpe from Holly Black’s Curseworkers series.  I used to sleepwalk when I was younger and would always wake up in the morning and hear about how I was walking around during the night.  I can also relate with his undying love for his family even though they have done him wrong - lied to him and used him for their own personal gain.  Cassel is also a sucker for love.  When he falls in love, it is true love for him, and that means forever.  I can definitely relate with him.
“Once someone’s hurt you, it’s harder to relax around them, harder to think of them as safe to love. But it doesn’t stop you from wanting them. Sometimes I actually think it makes the wanting worse.” Cassel Sharpe “White Cat”

Although I probably would have chosen Jacob Black if I was Bella, I admire Edward for his strong protective side and his obsessive stalker tendencies :)

The other day one of my fellow Tumblr writers talked about characters in books that they most related to and it gave me an idea.  I thought it might be fun to see if I could come up with characters in books that I have read that I can personally relate with.  So thanks for the cool idea cuz I love it!
Here is my first pick!
I think one character that I can relate with is Katniss in the Hunger Games. She is quiet and fights for what she wants. I can also relate with her strong humanitarian feelings and her love for her family.

Books of 2012
1. Clockwork Angel
This series takes place in Victorian England, ten years after the peace treaties between the demon-fighting Shadowhunters and Downworlders (vampires, faeries, werewolves, and warlocks) was signed. As Shadowhunters consider themselves superior or purer than Downworlders or demons, they may have no qualms about killing either. The first book in The Infernal Devices is entitledClockwork Angel and begins the story of Tessa, an orphaned teenage girl who discovers she is an Eidolon, or shape-changer, with unique powers. But these new-found abilities plunge her into a world she never knew existed, and she will have to learn to master them if she wants to find her brother, and to do this she will have to forge an alliance with some Shadowhunters if she wants to survive in this dangerous world. Many of the family names of the Shadowhunters used in the first series are introduced in this series. Another character, Magnus Bane, the High Warlock of Brooklyn, plays a part in this Victorian England series. 129 years later, he is a part of the Mortal Instruments series.

I saw a new world coming rapidly. More scientific, efficient, yes. More cures for the old sicknesses. Very good. But a harsh, cruel, world… and I saw a little girl, her eyes tightly closed, holding to her breast the old kind world, one that she knew in her heart could not remain, and she was holding it and pleading, never to let her go.

Kazuo Ishiguro, Never Let Me Go (via bookmania)

This book is amazing!!

Ravus, my love…
This appears to be fan art for the novel Valiant, written by Holly Black. Ravus is a troll, a troll I am madly in love with. Thinking about making a facebook page for him just so I can make him my boyfriend.

This is one of my favorite illustrations of Ravus ever.
